As someone who enjoys the game of basketball I am all for being intense and “practice makes perfect” but when do we say enough is enough. There is a fine line between intensity and abuse. I believe the players when they say they were not afraid of Coach Rice, but are the tactics still necessary even though the players didn’t necessarily feel abused?

    • It’s polarizing to say the least because there isn’t a grey area in this debate. I think anytime a coach or any person of authority puts their hands on somebody under them it’s wrong. The players get the credit and glory but in the college game especially the line between coach and player is clear. There isn’t any need to whip basketballs at the players… Could imagine why he’s like at a family softball game lol! Thanks for reading.
